The Power of Belief

Shabbat Shalom from Kent, London- 26Sep25

The Power of Belief

Scripture Reference: Jn 14:1 - Let not your heart be troubled: you believe in God, believe also in me.

Team Jesus gathered in the upper room, their hearts weighed down as they grappled with the difficult truth of Christ's upcoming departure. During this moment, Jesus shared teachings that still hold meaning for us today.

  • Not to fix our gaze on inward fears.
  • But lift our eyes in faith look outwards towards Him
  • To press forward, rely in on His strength
  • Not to be trapped backward by the past but to look upwards with Hope
  • And keep moving in step with Heaven's call.
It is far more than just a teaching or a source of comfort; it is a profound call to anchor our faith in Him as deeply as we trust in Father God. The phrase "Do not let your hearts be troubled" stands as a powerful reminder that challenges, fears, and anxieties are inevitable in life. Yet, He lovingly encourages us to surrender all our burdens to Him, for He cares for each of us with tender compassion. He graciously invites us to place unwavering trust in Him and in God, relying fully on His boundless love and flawless guidance.

God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in times of trouble (Ps 46). Because we believe, trust in Him, HE will keep us in perfect Peace the steadfast of mind (Is 26:3-4).Let the Lord firmly plant this truth in our hearts, uprooting every lie that rises against it and replacing it with His Word, Logos, and Rhema. Faith is the substance of the things hope for, evidence of the things not seen; Let Jesus ignite our Faith, may we walk boldly, even when the path is unseen or uncertain. Trusting in the Lord with all our heart, understanding and leaning not in our own strength (Pr 3:5-6).

This call is as gentle as a mother's voice, reassuring with the words "Do not let your hearts be troubled." It carries a regal authority in the next breath: "You believe in God; believe also in Me." This is the horizon of expectation—hope, a joyful anticipation of good from God.

May the God of Hope fill us with joy, peace, and an everlasting connection. Let His Spirit lift our eyes and let hope rise like the dawn, full of light and promise by His Grace. In Jesus’ Name, we will not look inward with fear or backward with regret. Instead, we’ll look outward in faith, upward in hope, and move forward in trust. May our hearts remain anchored in Christ. Let our hearts not be troubled; we believe in God and in Jesus. In Your Name, we pray, Amen!

  • Belief says I think it's true;
  • Faith says I am sure it's true;
  • Trust says I will rely on it;
  • Hope says I am excited for what's coming.

Peace be upon the State of Israel and us. Shalom. Have a Good Weekend.

God has us where He wants us - Breaking Saul, Becoming Paul

God has us where He wants us - Breaking Saul, Becoming Paul Reference: Acts 9 Saul, once a fervent religious extremist, was transformed when God chose to claim him and place him precisely where He intended. The journey from Jerusalem to Damascus holds every detail of this profound transformation. It was an intense, 140-mile mission driven by fury to eradicate the followers of Christ—a mission sanctioned by the chief priest and spiritual leader but not approved by the Lord. God will halt what He does not permit , and so Saul was abruptly stopped, stunned by a blinding flash of light. In that moment, Jesus commanded him to go into the city, where he would be told what to do next. God has us where He wants us.... Saul had order, but in a split second, the very people he was leading ended up guiding him after a heavenly encounter caused him to lose his sight. Realizing he had been doing the exact opposite of what was right in the name of religion, he experienced a relationship with God for...
