When runners are called - Part 1

Wrong perceptions make us to run....

Acts 7:29 CEVUK - When Moses heard this, he ran away to live in the country of Midian. His two sons were born there.

🏃‍♂️When Perception Fuels Flight

- Moses ran after realizing his own people rejected him as a leader. Acts 7:29 captures that moment of rejection and retreat. But Midian became the place of preparation—where he encountered God in the burning bush and was called back to lead.

- Elijah fled from Jezebel after a dramatic victory on Mount Carmel. Despite calling down fire from heaven, he was overwhelmed by fear and isolation. Yet in the wilderness, God met him—not in the wind, earthquake, or fire, but in a gentle whisper (1 Kings 19).

🔍 The Deeper Insight

Wrong perceptions—whether of rejection, danger, or inadequacy—can cause us to run. But God often uses those detours to reshape our calling:

- Running isn’t always rebellion; sometimes it’s a reset.
- The wilderness isn’t punishment; it’s preparation.
- God doesn’t abandon runners; He meets them on the way.

Running as a Spiritual Metaphor

These stories show that:
- Flight isn’t the end—it’s often the beginning of transformation.
- God meets us not just in triumph, but in retreat.
- Perceived rejection or failure can become the soil for deeper calling.

God will halt what He does not permit , and so Saul was abruptly stopped, stunned by a blinding flash of light. In that moment, Jesus commanded him to go into the city, where he would be told what to do next. God has us where He wants us.... Saul had order, but in a split second, the very people he was leading ended up guiding him after a heavenly encounter caused him to lose his sight. Realizing he had been doing the exact opposite of what was right in the name of religion, he experienced a relationship with God for...
