What is intercessory prayer?

Intercessory prayer is when you pray for someone else. When we do intercessory prayers, our hearts gets thankful very fast. Remember, Intercession is the hardest work in the world– giving of our time, strength, energy, and attention to the needs of others in a way that no one but God sees, no one but God will do anything about, and no one but God will ever reward you for.”

Take Jesus, for example! Paul tells us in Romans 8:34, "Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us."

And not just Jesus, but the third person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit.
Just a few verses before this, Paul tells us this: "In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words." Romans 8:26-27

Romans 8:26-27 CEVUK- [26] In certain ways we are weak, but the Spirit is here to help us. For example, when we don't know what to pray for, the Spirit prays for us in ways that cannot be put into words. [27] All our thoughts are known to God. He can understand what is in the mind of the Spirit, as the Spirit prays for God's people.

Ezekiel 22:30 says, "I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found none."

Ezekiel 22:30 TPT- “I searched for someone who would repair the wall, one who fills the gap, an intercessor to cry out for mercy, but I found no one. There was no one found who would keep my justice from destroying the nation.

Ephesians 6:18 CEVUK- Never stop praying, especially for others. Always pray by the power of the Spirit. Stay alert and keep praying for God's people.
