You’re an Overcomer

What then shall we say to all these things? If God is for us, who can be [successful] against us? - ROMANS 8:31 AMP

An undertaker Vs overcomer

The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]. JOHN 10:10 AMP

Overcoming comparison

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who by faith have testified to the truth of God’s absolute faithfulness], stripping off every unnecessary weight and the sin which so easily and cleverly entangles us, let us run with endurance and active persistence the race that is set before us, HEBREWS 12:1 AMP

Overcoming Apathy

Apathy almost always stems from the fear that says, “If I try one more time, I might fail, so I won’t try.” Basically, apathy isn’t much more than a guess at the future. You know how we overcome apathy? Real enthusiasm. Enthusiasm gets its roots from the Greek language as en theos, meaning “in God, being possessed by God, or even being filled with God’s Spirit.” So, if apathy stems from our human guess at the future, then real enthusiasm comes from God’s facts about His presence.

Remember David and Goliath?

So submit to [the authority of] God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him] and he will flee from you. JAMES 4:7 AMP

The Lord is near to the heartbroken And He saves those who are crushed in spirit (contrite in heart, truly sorry for their sin). PSALM 34:18 AMP

Overcoming Labels

Too old, too fat, too little, too young, wrong this, wrong that, not enough this, and too much that. We’ve all been labeled, and it hurts. A lot. In fact, if we’re not careful, labels can do more than hurt us. Tim Doremus, a pastor at Life.Church, says it well. “The problem with labels is the longer we wear them, the less they describe our past and the more they determine our future.” Read that again.

Overcoming Fear

Fear is the shadowy visitor that whispers, “You plus God isn’t really enough.” This unwelcome pest relies on false perspectives and leveraged shadows to appear larger than your best effort and stronger than God Himself. Fear is on the wrong side of John 10:10. Fear’s goal is to suck the life out of you by keeping you from doing the things that lead to really living.

I will say of the Lord , “He is my refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust [with great confidence, and on whom I rely]!” PSALM 91:2 AMP

τηρήσετε (tērēsete)- you will guard, keep watch over Reference: John 14:15 — "If you love me, keep my commandments" — sits at a hinge point in Jesus's Farewell discourse, right before HE promises the Holy Spirit (the "Advocate"/Paraclete). Root verb: τηρέω (tēreō) — not the more common Greek word for "obey" (peithomai/hypakouō, meaning to submit to authority), but a word that literally means "to guard," "to watch over," "to keep watch". It's the word used for a guard keeping watch at a post, or someone safeguarding a treasure. Love is defined by obedience, not sentiment. Jesus doesn't say "if you love me, feel devoted to me" — he ties love to concrete action. In John's Gospel, love is verifiable; it shows up in behaviour, not just emotion. The Greek verb for "keep" (tērēsete) is future tense and follows a conditional — love isn't presented as a prerequisite for a transaction ("obey...
