Take a good look at God’s wonders in 2025

Take a good look at God’s wonders— they’ll take our breath away. Reference: Ps 66 The path through 2025 is hardly ever smooth—marked by bumps, highs, and lows—yet the central, unshakeable truth remains: God hears, and God has attended to the voice of our prayers. That alone is a testimony worthy of all praise. The good news is that like David we can happily say that certainly God has heard us, He has attended to the voice of our prayers. We are not silent beneficiaries; we are proclaiming witnesses.  Glory to the Lord. The Sovereign God: He turned the sea into dry land (Moses Ex 14:21-22); He helped us cross the river on foot (Joshua 3:14-17); He smites; God has tested us; He has tried us like silver—refined and purified; we cried out, and He heard us; Blessed be God, who has not rejected our prayer nor removed His mercy and loving-kindness from us. Hallelujah The Scope of His Care : He is terrible (awesome) in His doings, ruling over nations, yet His eye is also on the individual...

I've found the coin I lost

Searches thoroughly and sweeps until the significant coin found The Parable (Luke 15:8–10, NIV): “Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Doesn’t she light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbours together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.’ In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” The main outcome of this parable. God’s persistent, searching love for each person (“the lost”), and the joy in heaven when a sinner repents and returns to God- I read it again and again- This must be the secret to be discovered by humans after many sacrifices or researchers- But the Bible displays the truth upfront. Ten silver coins (Greek: drachmas) — possibly part of the woman’s savings, perhaps her marriage dowry or household money. Each drachma was roughly a day’s wage for a labourer, so losing one was significant...

A Woman's Faith - Jan 2025

A Woman's Faith Reference: Mk 7:24-30/ Mt 15:21-28 Jesus involved – let’s make sure He is part of our matters.  A Canaanite woman, crying loudly and persistently asking, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me, have pity, my daughter is full of demons, possessed by an evil spirit.”  Jesus remained silent and didn’t say a word.  Her answer surprised Him: “Even puppies get the crumbs that fall from their owners’ table.”  She called Jesus the Owner. She didn’t argue but invited Him into her situation and condition. She was desperate – desperate times call for desperate actions.  Jesus said, “Dear woman, you have great faith. You will be given what you want.”  At that moment – not later, not the next day, week, or month – instantly, her daughter was healed.  The woman had to go home to find out, and so Jesus said, “Go in peace.”

The Power of One

Shabbat Shalom from Kent, London . 05Dec2025 The Power of One Reference Mark 10:47 MSG Bartimaeus, son of Timaeus, was sitting alongside the road. When he heard that Jesus the Nazarene was passing by, he began to cry out, “ Son of David , Jesus! Mercy, have mercy on me!” Many tried to hush him up, but he yelled all the louder, “Son of David! Mercy, have mercy on me!  Bartimaeus may have heard of Lazarus’ resurrection in his own neighbourhood, and that testimony fuelled his cry. Faith often springs from hearing what God has done nearby. Amen. Prayer is not about many words, but about faith-filled closeness. God responds to the power of one prayer when it is filled with faith. Let us be people who pray — not just long prayers, but faithful prayers. Every cry of “Son of David, have mercy on me” is a step closer to His presence. Enoch pleased God ( Hebrews 11 ) — mentioned only once, yet that single testimony echoes through eternity. His life was a prayer of walking with ...

Title: The Way Back to the Light of Life

[SETTING: A comfortable lounge area, decorated simply for Christmas with lights and a single star ornament hanging prominently. Four friends, NAME 1, 2, 3, and 4, are settled in. It feels like a late-evening conversation.] [CUE: Soft sounds of wind, distant chatter.] ROUND 1: The Problem of Identity & Guilt & thoughts of failure & Uncertain NAME 1: Can I be real?  I'm surrounded by many thoughts and still I feel... invisible.  How do I even know who I am in all this noise? And honestly... I don't think I can come back or trust anyone. I've messed up too much. I failed, blamed everyone that am aware of, and may have suggested God needed better planning skills. NAME 2: (Chuckles) So you actually went and filed a complaint with the Almighty? Bold move. I understand that, but for me, am trying to figure out how to live my life. If this is my one life, how can I make it truly meaningful? Could it simply be about happiness? That feels far too small. NAME 3: Picture Go...
