A Woman's Faith - Jan 2025

 A Woman's Faith

Reference: Mk 7:24-30/ Mt 15:21-28

Jesus involved – let’s make sure He is part of our matters.

A Canaanite woman, crying loudly and persistently asking, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me, have pity, my daughter is full of demons, possessed by an evil spirit.”

Jesus remained silent and didn’t say a word.

Her answer surprised Him: “Even puppies get the crumbs that fall from their owners’ table.”

She called Jesus the Owner. She didn’t argue but invited Him into her situation and condition. She was desperate – desperate times call for desperate actions.

Jesus said, “Dear woman, you have great faith. You will be given what you want.”

At that moment – not later, not the next day, week, or month – instantly, her daughter was healed.

The woman had to go home to find out, and so Jesus said, “Go in peace.”

Saul had order, but in a split second, the very people he was leading ended up guiding him after a heavenly encounter caused him to lose his sight. Realizing he had been doing the exact opposite of what was right in the name of religion, he experienced a relationship with God for...
