*Monthly Intercessory Prayer Summary – August 1, 2026*

*Theme:* Persistent Prayer Brings Divine Encounters and Prepares the Way for God's Purpose

*Opening Reflection*

The group reflected on *John 20:1–18* , focusing on Mary Magdalene, who remained at the tomb even after others had left. Her *persistence, love, and devotion* led to the miraculous encounter with the risen Lord Jesus.

*Key Insight:*

Mary's steadfastness reminds us that those who remain faithful in seeking the Lord will experience His presence and receive fresh revelation. We prayed that believers would cultivate the same perseverance and consistency in their prayer lives.

*Thanksgiving* - We thanked God for:

• His faithfulness and provision throughout the past year at the WMR site.

• The extension of the WMR car park for another year.

• The vision He has given for church expansion and the opportunities He continues to open before us.

*Prayer Points*

*Church Expansion*

We prayed for God's wisdom, favour, and clear guidance as the church prepares for expansion to the new Bromley site. We committed every decision into the Lord's hands, declaring:

*"In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps." (Proverbs 16:9)"*

We prayed that God would go before every step, remove every obstacle, prepare the way, and lead His people according to His perfect will.

*Guatemala Mission Trip*

We lifted up the upcoming Guatemala mission team, praying for God's protection, deliverance, divine appointments, and a great harvest of souls. We asked the Lord to establish every step of the team, prepare hearts to receive the Gospel, and accomplish His purposes through them.

*Renewed Minds and Spiritual Victory*

Words of encouragement were shared from *2 Corinthians 10:4–5* , reminding us to bring every thought into obedience to Christ and take captive every mindset that opposes God's truth.

We prayed against the strongholds and distractions that capture people's minds and declared *Romans 12:2* , asking God to transform believers through the renewing of their minds so they would not conform to the patterns of this world.

*Daring Youth Camp*

The church prayed for the Daring Youth Camp beginning on *5 August* , asking God to encounter every young person with His love and truth.

Prayer focused on:

• Hearts being transformed by God's love and freedom from worldly influences and conformity.

• A generation raised up to know Christ personally and walk boldly in His calling.

• The Holy Spirit to work powerfully throughout the camp.

*Harvest of Souls and Spiritual Growth*

We prayed for a continued harvest of souls as part of the church's expansion and remembered those who responded to the Gospel during the International Feast.

We asked God to guide each new believer into *DNA, Alpha, and Life Groups,* helping them become firmly rooted in God's Word, understand His love, receive baptism in the name of Jesus, and become good seed planted in good soil that bears lasting fruit for His Kingdom.

*Volunteers for Ministry*

Responding to *Olivia's* request, we prayed for God to raise willing volunteers across every ministry of the church.

We asked the Lord to:

• Stir hearts to serve out of love for Him.

• Remove self-doubt, fear, and feelings of inadequacy.

• Help believers discover and use their God-given gifts in the right areas of ministry.

*Prayer for the Nations and Creation*

We remembered the impact of *prolonged hot weather,* drought, and wildfires affecting the *UK* and several European nations including *France, Spain, and Greece.*

We prayed for:

• Rain over drought-affected regions.

• Protection for communities and firefighters.

• Strength and provision for farmers experiencing crop losses and healing for the land.

Standing on *2 Chronicles 7:14* , we humbled ourselves before God, asking Him to forgive, restore, and heal the land.

We also declared *James 5:17–18* , remembering Elijah's earnest prayer that brought rain, believing God once again to send refreshing rain and restore the land.

*Participation*

8 prayer warriors gathered faithfully from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM, covering the church, missions, young people, volunteers, nations, and the harvest of souls through united intercession.

*Closing*

As we enter the month of August, we committed ourselves to remain persistent in prayer like Mary Magdalene—seeking the Lord wholeheartedly, trusting Him to establish our steps, and becoming channels of His blessing to those around us.

May we continue to pursue His presence, walk in renewed minds, and faithfully participate in the harvest He is preparing.

Dear Prayer Warriors,

This Saturday, we gather not just to pray, but to remain—like Mary at the empty tomb. While others saw the stone rolled away and went home, Mary stayed. She wept, waited, and worshipped until the risen Christ called her by name.

Breakthrough often comes not in the first visit, but in the decision not to leave too soon. God is inviting us to linger in His presence until revelation breaks through, hope is restored, and His voice becomes unmistakably clear.

Come with expectation. Come with your questions, your tears, your worship. He who is alive forevermore will meet you there.

Let us be a people who refuse to move on when heaven is about to open. See you at the Upper Room.

SUBJECT: INVITATION: Monthly Intercessory Prayer – "Stay at the Tomb" (Aug 2026)

Dear Prayer Warriors,

There are moments in our walk with God when the greatest breakthrough comes, not from moving on, but from remaining where He has called us to be.

In John 20, Mary Magdalene arrived at the tomb before dawn and found the stone rolled away. She ran to tell Peter and John, and together they hurried to the tomb. They saw the empty grave and the linen cloths lying there. Having witnessed what had happened, the disciples returned to their homes.

But Mary stayed.

She remained outside the tomb, weeping. She refused to leave, even when the answers were not yet clear. It was in that place of lingering that heaven opened to her. She saw two angels seated where Jesus had lain. Then, in the midst of her tears, the risen Lord Himself appeared and called her by name.

Mary became the first person to encounter the resurrected Christ and the first messenger of His resurrection—not because she arrived first, but because she remained.

As we gather this month, God is inviting us to cultivate the same posture. In a world that is quick to move on, He is calling His people to remain in His presence until revelation comes, until hope is restored, and until His voice becomes unmistakably clear.

Sometimes the miracle is not found in the first visit, but in the decision to stay.

Our Prayer Focus

- To intercede for resurrection power over every area that appears lifeless or hopeless.
- To seek divine direction and courage to faithfully proclaim the good news of Christ.

The disciples saw an empty tomb and returned home.

Mary stayed.
She wept.
She waited.
She worshipped.
And she encountered the risen King.

May we be a people who refuse to leave His presence too soon. As we wait before Him, may our tears be turned into testimony, our questions into revelation, and our seeking into divine encounter.

Come expecting to hear Him call your name. We look forward to standing together in prayer as we seek the One who is alive forevermore.
