An Invitation to Stand in the Gap – Easter Weekend Intercessory Meeting

16 Hours of Standing in the Gap along with 45 Prayer warriers – A Easter Weekend Summary

Dear Prayer Warriors & BCC Family,

This morning, as I reviewed my journal of what God has done this Easter weekend, I can only say: I Praise God for His Mercies..

From the Good Friday 12-hour session (which turned into almost 14 hours!), to the Saturday 2-hour Intercessory meeting (plus an extra 30 minutes), to the hour of prayer before our Sunday services—we have spent nearly 16 hours collectively inviting His presence to deal with the matters close to our hearts: our Church, our nations, our communities, and our families.

And 45 of us showed up across these three occasions, cumulatively. That itself is a miracle that only our GOD could orchestrate.

I thank God for His resurrected power that enables us to draw closer to Him, access His presence with all His fullness, and joyfully enjoy life—because He has already given us everything.

Thank you for standing in the gap like Moses. Thank you for reminding God of His promises when the enemy wanted to scatter and destroy.

Have a wonderful remaining weekend. Until we meet in our next session, may His resurrected power lead us triumphantly.

Happy Easter!

If you said you'd join for a specific session, thank you. If plans shifted, Grace abounds. Just come.

Saturday, 4 April
🌿 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM | WMR

A quiet, two-hour gathering in the in-between. A gentle way to prepare our hearts before Resurrection Sunday.

Like Moses, we stand in the gap—not striving, but trusting. Whether you're with us in person or holding space in your own quiet corner, you are part of this.

Come. Rest. Pray as you're led.

Subject: An Invitation to Stand in the Gap – Easter Weekend Intercessory Meeting

Dear Church Family,

As we enter the sacred Easter weekend—remembering the price paid to reconcile us to the Father—we're reminded of the power of one person standing in the gap.

"But Moses stood in the gap and deflected God's anger, prevented it from destroying them utterly." —Psalm 106:23 (MSG)

Like Moses, we are called to intercede. When destruction was near, he prayed—standing on God's promises.

Let's come together to do the same.

Moving Mountains: Why Prayer Transforms Everything

Moving Mountains: Why Prayer Transforms Everything “Have faith in God,” Jesus said (Mark 11:22). Simple words, yet they hold the key to a transformed life. In this single passage, Jesus gives us the ultimate spiritual equation:  Prayer + Faith + Forgiveness = Transformation.  But why is prayer so essential? Because it forces us to stop looking at our problems and start looking at our Provider. Without prayer, we rely on our own limited strength. With prayer, we tap into omnipotence itself. Jesus makes a staggering promise: “Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours” (v. 24). This isn’t positive thinking; it’s supernatural authority. Prayer is effective because God backs His Word. When we speak to your “mountain” (our debts, illness, broken relationship) in faith, God moves on our behalf. But here is the transformative twist: prayer changes us before it changes our circumstances. Notice how Jesus ties prayer directly to forgiveness:...

τηρήσετε (tērēsete)- you will guard, keep watch over

τηρήσετε (tērēsete)- you will guard, keep watch over Reference: John 14:15 — "If you love me, keep my commandments" — sits at a hinge point in Jesus's Farewell discourse, right before HE promises the Holy Spirit (the "Advocate"/Paraclete). Root verb: τηρέω (tēreō) — not the more common Greek word for "obey" (peithomai/hypakouō, meaning to submit to authority), but a word that literally means "to guard," "to watch over," "to keep watch". It's the word used for a guard keeping watch at a post, or someone safeguarding a treasure. Love is defined by obedience, not sentiment. Jesus doesn't say "if you love me, feel devoted to me" — he ties love to concrete action. In John's Gospel, love is verifiable; it shows up in behaviour, not just emotion. The Greek verb for "keep" (tērēsete) is future tense and follows a conditional — love isn't presented as a prerequisite for a transaction ("obey...
