Great Are the Works of the Lord

*A Reflection on Psalm 111:1-10*

Hallelujah! I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart—not just with my words, but with everything I've got. His works are so magnificent, so vast and beautiful, that they are worth a lifetime of study, wonder, and praise.

When I look back over my journey, I see His hands at work everywhere. He rescued me when I was sinking. He has been caring for me, healing my wounds, protecting my steps, favouring me with Grace I don't deserve, and providing for my every need. He answers when I call, sees every tear I cry, guides my uncertain steps, and leads me through the darkness. He is sovereignly arranging all things for my good—straightening the crooked paths, levelling the mountains of impossibility, and filling the empty valleys of my soul.

He knows me completely. He delivers me from bondage and heals my brokenness. When the battles of life rage around me, He fights for me. He never sleeps; He watches over me constantly.

In light of who He is and all He has done, we join our voices with the psalmists of old and make this declaration our own:

  • "I will recount all Your wonders." (Psalm 9:1)
  • "I will Bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth." (Psalm 34:1)
  • "I will greatly Praise the Lord with my mouth." (Psalm 109:30)
  • "I will Praise the Lord as long as I live." (Psalm 146:1-2)

Alongside the prophet Isaiah, we join in making this confession as part of our worship:

"O Lord, You are my God! I will exalt You; I will praise Your name, for You have done wonderful things, You have worked wonders - plans formed long ago, faithful and sure - In perfect faithfulness" (Isaiah 25:1).

You alone are God. You are our God. You are the Lord, the Eternal One—from everlasting to everlasting. Great are the works of the Lord

Keep Looking

Keep looking. Reference 1Kg 18 This chapter is a dynamic tapestry of action. It presents a radical confrontation between Truth and Lies, God and man, a solitary prophet against a mob of false prophets—one Godly man standing firm against the nation of Israel. Our beloved hero, Elijah, displayed a series of remarkable actions driven by a holy curiosity. He was constantly scanning the horizon, "keep looking" for God’s signals, guidance, warnings, answers, and prompts for the season. His life was defined by a persistent search for ways to partner and collaborate with the Lord. The chapter opens with Elijah ending the 3.5-year drought, but to get there, we must understand his journey. After the dramatic showdown on Mount Carmel and the slaughter of the false prophets, Jezebel threatened his life, sending him fleeing from Jezreel. But God had been guiding him all along. Earlier, during the drought, God had directed him to the Kerith Ravine, where he was miraculously sustained—you c...

God Never overlooks anyone...

God Never overlooks anyone.... Reference  Lk 12:6-7 What about the seemingly minor issues of our lives? Do they matter to our God? Of course They do!!! Our God is the Lord who pays close attention to every detail of our lives. We may think we need to tell Him everything that has happened, is happening, or will happen to seek His support or blessings, but that’s just a myth. On the contrary, He wants us to invite Him into all aspects of our lives. We don’t need to inform Him, just welcome Him into our family, church, and community. That’s all we need to do and understand. He never overlooks anyone. Lk 12:6-7 (MSG)- What’s the price of two or three pet canaries? Some loose change, right? But God never overlooks a single one . And He pays even greater attention to you, down to the last detail —even numbering the hairs on your head! So don’t be intimidated by all this bully talk. You’re worth more than a million canaries. Are the hairs on our heads numbered or counted? Yes, they are....

Shabbat Shalom from Kent, London - Jun 2021

πŸ•™ 25 mins 04-Jun-2021 Shabbat Shalom from Kent, London.   Abijah overcomes Jeroboam  Then the men of Judah raised a war cry; and as they shouted, God struck Jeroboam and all Israel with defeat before Abijah and Judah - 2 Ch 13:15 AMP. MH commented - Earnest prayer is crying. To the cry of prayer they added the shout of faith, and became more than conquerors. Leaders cried unto the Lord , and the Priests sounded with the trumpets to pledge the victory by His Grace. We are reading from scriptures that Jehoshaphat, Joshua, Gideon, David and Asa called out the Lord, for we trust in and rely on You , and in Your Name we have come against this multitude. O LORD, there is no one besides You to help in the battle between the powerful and the weak; so help us , O LORD our God. Amen.  He gives strength to the weary, And to him who has no might He increases power. Isaiah 40:29 AMP God Blesses Israel and Us. πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™ An Insight to weekend series.
