Thank God!!!
Scripture Reference- Psalms 107.
Psalm 107 is a powerful song of testimonies, vividly portraying God’s sovereignty over both creation and nations (vv. 33–42). David celebrates the Lord’s mighty works, describing how He transforms rivers into deserts (if we start doing wrong) and barren wastelands into fertile (if we trust HIM with Wholehearted), life-giving land: He brings down the proud in humility and raises up the needy in compassion. The psalm ties the act of thanksgiving to the profound recognition of God’s control over history and the natural world, showing that gratitude flows from acknowledging His hand in all things. It concludes with a stirring call for the wise to reflect deeply on the steadfast love of the Lord (v. 43), revealing that thanksgiving is not only an act of worship but also a defining mark of true wisdom.
- God’s character: His goodness, steadfast love, and power to save.
- Human condition: Lostness, bondage, sickness, danger, and helplessness.
- Divine intervention: God hears cries, delivers, heals, and guides.
- Communal response: Thanksgiving, testimony, and worship.
- Cosmic perspective: God rules over creation, nations, and history.
- Wisdom lesson: True understanding comes from reflecting on God’s love
- Wanderers in the desert – lost, hungry, thirsty, then led to a city (4–9).
- Prisoners in chains – bound in darkness, then set free (10–16).
- The sick and afflicted – near death, then healed by God’s word (17–22).
- Sailors in a storm– tossed by waves, then brought safely to harbour (23–32).
And let us (them) sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving and rehearse HIS deeds with shouts and signing! Ps 107:22 AMP.
