1 Chronicles 10:13-14 AMP‬
[13] So Saul died for his trespass which he committed against the Lord, for his failure to keep the word of the Lord; and also because he consulted a medium [regarding a spirit of the dead], to inquire of her, [14] and did not inquire of the Lord [instead]. Therefore the Lord killed him and turned the kingdom over to David the son of Jesse.

David become the King of Israel after Saul- ‭1 Chronicles 12:22 AMP‬
[22] For day by day men kept coming to David to help him, until there was a great army, like the army of God.

‭1 Chronicles 11:9 AMP‬- [9] David became greater and greater, for the Lord of hosts was with him.

‭1 Chronicles 14:2 AMP‬- [2] And David understood that the Lord had established and confirmed him as king over Israel, for his kingdom was highly exalted for the sake of His people Israel.
