Aug 2024- Coming to You as a sacrifice - Favour by Fire

Shabbat Shalom - Happy Aug 2024

Psalms 40:7 TPT- So I said, “Here I am! I’m coming to you as a sacrifice, for in the prophetic scrolls of your book you have written about me.

Out of many types of scarifices mentioned in the Bible, I would like to start with Burnt scarifice, aka offering.

Purpose: A gift to the Lord, seeking favour, substitution, sacrificial act; it cost the worshipper something.

It's a voluntary sacrifice but  is one of the oldest and most common offerings in history and could give it at any time. Each morning/evening, each Sabbath, each month beginning, at Passover, at the new moon and along with Grain/ first fruit offerings.

The Hebrew word for “burnt offering” actually means to “ascend,“ literally to “go up in smoke.” The smoke from the sacrifice ascended to God, “a soothing aroma to the LORD. ( Lev1:9) The priest shall technically burn all the cut pieces at the altar.

This is shadowing in the life our Lord Jesus Christ, symbolically, He submitted upon the Cross, until death (horrible). His physical life was completely consumed, He ascended to God, and His covering (that is, His garment) was distributed to those who officiated over His sacrifice (Matthew 27:35). But most importantly, His sacrifice, once for all time, atoned for our sins and restored our relationship with God.

Wishing you an awesome Aug 2024.

Peace be upon The State of Israel and Us. Shalom. 🙏
In His Grip...

The journey from Jerusalem to Damascus holds every detail of this profound transformation. It was an intense, 140-mile mission driven by fury to eradicate the followers of Christ—a mission sanctioned by the chief priest and spiritual leader but not approved by the Lord. God will halt what He does not permit , and so Saul was abruptly stopped, stunned by a blinding flash of light. In that moment, Jesus commanded him to go into the city, where he would be told what to do next. God has us where He wants us.... Saul had order, but in a split second, the very people he was leading ended up guiding him after a heavenly encounter caused him to lose his sight. Realizing he had been doing the exact opposite of what was right in the name of religion, he experienced a relationship with God for...
